In the Matale district's Panwila Kabaragala neighborhood is the lovely Kallebokka. This location is around 6 kilometers off the main road on the Panwila to Matale route. Despite being only 6 km long, the route is stunning and has side lanes that lead upward. A 360-degree panoramic vista is visible from the hilltop. Kallebokka is situated 1175 meters above sea level.

Wonderful is also the route that leads to Matale, passing through tea plantations along the stunning Knuckles Mountains. Kallebokka has stunning views of the morning light rising and setting.

Night views are available of the following locations: Matale, Sembuwatta, Knuckles Mountain Range, Bathalegala, Piduruthalagala, Riverston Mountain Range, Kandy, and Sri Pada. Sembuwatta is situated below this location, and it is around 3 kilometers away.

How to Travel to Sri Lanka's Kallebokka View Point

From Katugastota in Kandy, proceed to Madawala (Bambarella Road), Madulkelle, Kabaragala, and then Kandenuwara.

There is a tiny and hazardous road leading to the viewpoint. Bicycles and tricycles can also go around, although they are not as convenient as four-wheeled vehicles. For around Rs 1,000 to 1,500, you may book a Tuk-Tuk for a round-trip.



Activities at View Point Kallebokka

  • In order to accommodate tourists, there is a camping area and two estate cottages that require reservations.
  • There is a finished Hindu shrine and a stick-built shelter to enjoy the view in the center of the level slope.
