Sembuwatta Lake is an artificial body produced from natural spring water near Campbell Lane Reserve in Matale District, Sri Lanka. One of the most attractive mountain attractions is Sembuwatta Lake, a heavenly place with natural spring water. It is situated amidst extensive tea plantations and reflects the area's natural beauty. There is a pool next to the lake with natural spring water.

Where Sembuwatta Lake location

Sembuwatta Lake is situated in Sri Lanka's Alkaduwa Tea Estate. Sembuwatta Lake may be accessed in two different ways. Use the Matale-Alkaduwa or Wattegama-Alkaduwa roads to get there. It is around 14 kilometers to Wattegama.

Route From Colombo

By Bus: Arrive in Kandy at the Bastian Mawatha bus terminal in Colombo. From there, a Tuk-Tuk ride to Sembuwatta Lake will take you around forty-two minutes.

By Train: Take the train from Colombo Fort to Kandy. Sembuwatta Lake may be reached via Tuk-Tuk from that location.

By Tuk-Tuk: It takes around two hours and forty minutes to get from Colombo to Sembuwatta Lake via Kandy Road.

Route From Kandy 

By Bus: There are two routes from Kandy to that location. Making the journey by bus from Ukuwela Junction to Alkaduwa is the most picturesque route. The other choice is to travel to the bus station in Wattegama and board a bus to Alkaduwa. Compared to the first way, the second path is shorter.

By Tuk-Tuk: Travel to Sembuwatta Lake from Alkaduwa with a Tuk-Tuk. A single trip costs between 400 and 500 rupees. It will take around two hours, depending on the state of the roads, to get here from Kandy. The state of the road deteriorates after Vattegama.
